ALL STUDENTS: If you and your group needs audio-visual equiptment for your presentation, let me know a week in advance. Unfortunately, we can't have it at our beck and call, and the ITS asked me to only reserve equiptment on days when I know it will be used due to high demand and limited supply.

Thank you!

English 232 students- You might find useful information for your presentations and for your papers by using the net. Try using the google search engine, but also consider using the indexes available from the library. If you prefer, or are having a hard time finding stuff, consider going into the Lied Library itself and speaking with a reference librarian at the Information Research Retrieval station located underneath the escalators. It is more than worth your time. Also, the following link is to a free encyclopedia website with lots of info. Just type in some key words in the search box and try your luck!

All Students: Keep in mind that missing a class even for a good personal reason still counts against you in terms of attendance. Make sure you don't exceed the maximum absences allowed on the syllabus, and also keep in mind that I am not going to email every student who is absent filling them in on what they missed. It is your responsibility to contact a classmate. If you know you are going to miss a class on a day of a paper or exam, make arrangements with me in advance. I will accept papers early. Late papers if accepted at all, will be penalized.

ENG 232 Class - this is a link to "A Modest Proposal" by Jonathan Swift. Reading it is optional, but will be useful in discussing Gulliver's Travels.

English students, I have created this page for your convenience. I will post assignments and handouts here. You can cut and paste and print them out. You should scroll down using the dates of our current semester. There will also be a copy of the syllabus posted early. Remember, if you are absent, you should call a classmate to find out what you missed that day. You are responsible for all assignments.
